The mission of the New Zealand Association of Event Professionals is to provide leadership for the industry through advocacy, education and professional development. 

NZAEP’s founding principle is to bring professionals together to focus on the industry as a whole and to act as a voice for that industry and its members. 

 

 


  Mark your diaries! Eventing the Future, the annual conference for the events industry will be held on August 1 & 2 at Te Wharewaka, Wellington's exciting new waterfront venue. The conference is your opportunity to get together with events professionals from around the country to network, network, network!  The programme is packed with educational and inspirational presentations to appeal to all sectors of the industry and will also include the Association's AGM.

VOLUNTEERNET

VolunteerNet connects volunteers and events throughout New Zealand. It provides an online tool to assist event organisers with their volunteer recruitment and management processes, while at the same time increasing the network of skilled volunteers available.

 

 

 

EVENTS RESOURCE BANK 
The Events Resource Bank goes from strength to strength having been developed by New Zealand Major Events in partnership with the NZAEP. NZ Major Events

 

New Zealand Major Events is a strategy group within the Tourism, Events and Consumer Affairs branch of the Ministry of Economic Development. It works in partnership with the event sector to support New Zealand’s growing reputation as an attractive destination for major events of global significance. Collaborating with a broad range of individuals and organisations, New Zealand Major Events’ activity aligns with the Major Events Strategy, which aims to attract, retain, grow and deliver major events.

 

 

 



Sport New Zealand, formerly SPARC, recognises the important role the NZAEP is taking in the fast developing New Zealand sporting events sector. Sport NZ encourages all sporting organisations who hold events as part of their operations to become active members of the NZAEP to promote best practice and continual professional development. Sport NZ regularly collaborates with NZAEP and its members in respect of risk management, leverage and legacy, and important components of event management
